The SIA is the “security industry authority” these regulations have been phased in over the last 2 years.
As from march 20th 2006 the security guarding aspects became law.

Well before the laws came into effect Capricorn joined forces with locally based SIA accredited training company nationwide security training and development, (NSTD). NSTD had already been established for 2 years and in this time built up an excellent reputation in this specialized field.
Over a 2 year period all our Directors/Guards have completed the full accredited SIA security course, which is an intense level 2 qualification.
The awarding body is the NOCN and it’s only when our guards have achieved this qualification they can apply to the SIA for there front line SIA license.
In order for the SIA to grant a license guards must have a background and criminal record check, which means any one with a recent criminal history which is deemed serious or significant by the SIA will not have a license granted at this time.
Capricorn works hand in hand with (NSTD) to ensure any new recruits get trained and get licensed.
