Capricorn offers a specialist security service to the film and TV industry, our main focus is location work and the man guarding of purpose built studios/sets on a 24/7 basis, we also offer a coning service. Capricorn is based in Manchester and has been in the business for 15 years. Our work history is far to extensive to list, but to offer a flavor some of our most high profile contracts are Coronation Street, Shameless, Blue Murder, The Street and Vincent. We are very proud of the fact that we have been the security provision for every single TV drama filmed in Greater Manchester for over a decade.
Over the years we have built up excellent working relationships with our clients and we undertake a wide spectrum of work ranging from short duration projects (adverts and pilots), live broadcasts right up to major feature films.
Quality management is very important to Capricorn and in December 07 we were awarded with ISO 9001 and BS 7499 accreditation.
At Capricorn we always try and work hand in hand with the locations teams and all aspects of the facilities and crew, we know the network very closely and team work is important to us, our vast knowledge and experience always comes in handy especially if it’s a client’s first shoot in the Manchester.
